Bothnia Green Energy

lightbulb ga3e01e81e 1920The world situation with energy shortage and the climate goals with reduced emissions of greenhouse gases place increasing demands on sustainable, efficient and climatefriendly innovations. The increased demands for a green transition means that new industries establish in the northern parts of Europe and large research and infrastructure projects are carried out. What is missing is cross-regional cooperation that builds innovative networks/ ecosystems, drives future sustainable energy innovations and includes the region's energy companies.

The project´s objective is to support cross-border collaboration to accelerate the development of innovative, sustainable energy solutions. This is done by developing a long-term collaboration platform, supporting innovation collaborations and developing international collaboration. The project will establish a cross-border, northern Nordic ecosystem. A key issue is building innovative networks/ecosystems with the region's energy companies and SMEs.

The project shall contribute to increased cross-regional cooperation between SMEs, energy companies, industry, municipalities/cities and regions, academia and the innovation support system. It will connect energy companies, industry and public sector with SMEs and startups with innovative products and services to accelerate the green transition through increased commercialization.
