EnergyWeek 2020 is postponed

11.03.2020

The 9th annual Vaasa EnergyWeek in Vaasa 16th to 19th March is postponed due to growing concerns related to the corona COVID-19 virus outbreak and will be held on a date which will be confirmed later.

The local Office of Public Health in the city of Vaasa has on March 11 decided based on the Communicable Diseases Act 1227/2016 (chapter 6, 58§ )  to postpone EnergyWeek.

“Due to the heightened threat to exhibitors and visitors, decided for the safety of all participant and inhabitants of Vaasa, that all events on EnergyWeek must be postponed”, says Heikki Kaukoranta, Physician in charge of Infectious Diseases, City Of Vaasa.

“This is very unfortunate for all involved parties, but the health of participants and the public is our number one concern. We have over ten EnergyWeek partners and a team of over 30 organizers who all have worked hard the last 6 months to bring you the best event possible, not to forget the over 100 speakers and 200 exhibitors and a record number of registered visitors. We are therefore adamant to hold the event at a later stage and point in time when it is deemed safe by the authorities“, says Kristoffer Jansson, EnergyVaasa Communication and Brand Manager.

EnergyWeek has during the years developed into one of the most important international energy events in Europe.

We will update the EnergyWeek website www.energyweek.fi with the latest information.
