The Northern Dimension Partnership on Transportation and Logistics (NDPTL) is one of the four existing partnerships of the Northern Dimension. The current members of the NDPTL are Belarus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden and the European Commission.

NDPTL endeavors to accelerate the implementation of major infrastructure projects within the Northern Dimension region, serving as a regional forum for transport and logistics issues and complementing the work of cooperation structures already in existence, with project financing to stem from national budgets, the EU, international financial institutions and relevant national financial institutions.

The aim of the project is to find out how to make operations more effective in harbors, the main goal being to plan and analyze the extra capacity needed by goods stream in harbor terminals and harbor areas when loading and unloading. A special emphasis is given on a more effective use of railway areas. In Vaasa, a study on space utilisation in the Vaasa harbor is being done with a focus on the location of rail terminal and the surrounding areas of the passanger terminal.

NDPTL supports the aims of Midway Alignment as well as  improves the cargo traffic in the Kvarken area.
