How to Close Down a Business?
The termination of a business is done through the Business Information System (YTJ).
- Submit an official termination notice using a Y-form (Y6 for sole proprietorships, Y5 for general partnerships, Y4 for limited liability companies or cooperatives), or via the ytj.fi online service.
- Notify relevant authorities and partners: the Finnish Tax Administration, the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), and your insurance company.
- Consider the possibility of selling the business or its assets.
