Information from the Employment Area Regarding Applications for Start-Up Grants
There may be delays in processing start-up grant applications during the summer of 2025, mainly in July. However, you can still send in your start-up grant application with appendices (Labor Services - Local Government Services) to the Employment Area of Ostrobothnia in July. You can also start (at your own risk) a full-time business as soon as you have submitted a start-up grant application. Applications received in July are expected to be handled during August.
Thus, a start-up grant decision can also be made retrospectively (positive or negative), even if the applicant has already started the business, as long as the start-up grant application has arrived at the Employment Services before starting the business.
