EnergySpin is a global enterprise accelerator intended for startups and growth companies in the energy sector that are seeking strong international growth.

The accelerator achieved huge global popularity right from the start, receiving applications from 24 different countries. The twenty most promising startups were invited to the Selection Days.

New solutions for business development

The final selection of companies for the EnergySpin Business Accelerator was made during the Selection Days where startups and representatives of partner companies met for the first time. This event offered the partners and startup companies the opportunity for deep-dive conversations, on the basis of which the potential and suitability of the startups was evaluated.

The partner companies involved hope to discover new solutions for developing their businesses and to find potential partners for cooperation.
The representatives of the partner companies made the final choice of the startups selected for the accelerator programme. The selection criteria were the companies’ growth potential, ambition to grow and suitability.

Seeking growth from EnergySpin

The Selection Days included a pitch where each of the twenty startup companies introduced themselves in a few words. The business operations of all the startups had a strong link to renewable energy and innovative energy solutions or data processing. Several startup companies had applied to EnergySpin to find investors or new partners for cooperation. Growth is a high priority for them.

“We didn’t apply for EnergySpin to achieve modest growth but strong and global growth,” say Global Director Sami Gräsbeck and Marketing Director Rainer Rönnback from Jukolux.

The ten-week-long accelerator programme includes company-specific training for business growth planning, product development, commercialisation, marketing, communications and especially financing. The highlight of the programme is Slush, the leading startup event in Helsinki.
