Kalle’s Inn awarded the best outdoor tourism company at an international travel trade show

Korsholm-based tourism company Kalle’s Inn, together with its partner companies in the Archipelago Attractions project, has won the title of the Best Company in the Best Outdoor Entrepreneur category of the Scandinavian Outdoor Award TRAVEL 2019 competition, held in Berlin on the 7th of March 2019.

Every year, the international ITB Berlin Travel Trade Show awards the best globally significant destinations, travel companies, and tourism products and services. The competition is organised by a company named Nordic Marketing.

Entrepreneur Freddi Skott from Kalle’s Inn is more than happy about this tribute to the conglomerate:

“This award will bring new, world-wide visibility to Kalle’s Inn and the services of other companies available through us.”

Tourism Project Manager Peter Källberg from the Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK comments:

“This award proves that we are definitely on the right track in the development of tourism companies and products. With the support of the Archipelago Attractions project, funded by the Rural Development Programme, the companies have worked hard to gain visibility in the European, Russian and Asian markets.”

During the project, the Kvarken’s unique accommodation and adventure services have been parcelled into attractive packages. The work has been carried out in collaboration with several different travel operators.

Managing Director of Visit Vaasa, Max Jansson, had the honour of accepting the award in Berlin on behalf of the companies. He is overjoyed:

“This will bring added visibility to the entire region and the Kvarken World Heritage Site. It’s a great pleasure to accept this award as the fruit of our collaboration,” he smiles.
