Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK coordinates a number of projects related to industry and commerce in the Vaasa region. The company's role in various projects is as follows:

• Projects with separate funding administered by VASEK (e.g. European Regional Development Fund, ERDF)
• Counterpart funding allocated by VASEK for projects carried out by other organizations (Centre of Expertise Programme 2007-2013, field-specific projects)
• VASEK participates in various projects, with no financial contribution, as a partner, member of executive and working groups or, in other tasks
